Although she has only just started first grade, the tiny girl weighing only 16kg has already undergone multiple surgeries in her fight for survival. After an 11-hour major heart surgery on April 9, 2026, at E Hospital in Hanoi, L. fell into critical condition and remained unconscious for many days.

At present, although L. has opened her eyes, she is still unable to recognize or communicate with the people around her. Every day, her mother is only allowed to enter the intensive care unit for a few brief minutes before quietly waiting outside again, hoping her daughter can once more overcome this life-threatening moment.

Throughout her long battle with illness, L.’s body has grown increasingly weak and fragile. She struggles to eat and needs her mother to feed her spoon by spoon. Some days, the mother and daughter survive on charity porridge meals at the hospital to save every possible expense for her treatment.

L.’s family belongs to a poor household in Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province. They rely mainly on farming and unstable manual labor jobs to make ends meet. After multiple rounds of borrowing money for surgeries and treatment, the family is now nearly exhausted financially. The latest surgery alone is estimated to have cost around 110 million VND, excluding medication and long-term post-operative care expenses.

Following the fundraising appeal for baby L. shared on the SEA GN fanpage and the Thien Nguyen app, the family and the program have received tremendous love, encouragement, and support from the community. Up to now, the total amount donated for L. has reached 8.165 million VND.

The kindness and support from the community over the past days have given L.’s family more strength to continue this difficult journey. To her mother, every message of encouragement and every contribution represents hope — hope that she can continue fighting alongside her daughter through this challenging time.

Currently, L. is still under close medical monitoring after her major heart surgery. Although there have been initial signs of recovery, she is still unable to communicate or respond clearly to those around her. Her family continues to wait and pray each day for her recovery so she can return to a normal childhood like other children.

L.’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has cared, shared, and stood beside her during this difficult time. However, the costs of treatment and post-surgery care remain overwhelming, and the family sincerely hopes to continue receiving support from the community so that L. may have a better chance to recover and return to a normal life.
