KOCHAM and Good Neighbors International in Vietnam Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam.

On the morning of May 18, at the headquarters of the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KOCHAM) in Hanoi, KOCHAM and Good Neighbors International (GNI) in Vietnam officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a new milestone in their strategic partnership to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and strengthen connections between the Korean business community and local communities in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ko Tae-Yeon, Chairman of KOCHAM; Ms. Park Seo Yun, Executive Director of KOCHAM; and Mr. Cho Eun Seung, Country Representative of Good Neighbors International in Vietnam.

The MOU was established based on mutual trust and long-term cooperation, aiming to spread the culture of sharing, expand corporate participation in social activities, and create sustainable positive values for communities.

Under the agreement, KOCHAM and GNI will cooperate in implementing CSR activities for Korean companies in Vietnam, providing scholarships and support programs for children in difficult circumstances under GNI’s sponsorship program, and expanding volunteer opportunities for corporate employees.

As part of the cooperation, KOCHAM will support the promotion of GNI’s CSR programs to its member companies and facilitate suitable partnership opportunities. Meanwhile, GNI will develop and implement community programs, scholarship initiatives, and volunteer activities, while also providing the necessary information and content to help businesses effectively engage in social initiatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, a KOCHAM representative emphasized that the value of a company should not only be measured by business performance but also by its meaningful contributions to local communities and society. The representative also expressed hopes for a strong and successful partnership between KOCHAM and GNI in the future.

Representing GNI, Mr. Cho Eun Seung, Country Representative of Good Neighbors International in Vietnam, expressed sincere appreciation for KOCHAM’s spirit of sharing and the trust placed in GNI. He also reaffirmed GNI’s commitment to accompanying KOCHAM in future community initiatives.

The signing ceremony concluded with a meaningful message inspired by the philosophy of “Inyeon” (인연), highlighting the importance of human connection in partnerships dedicated to community and social development.

The cooperation between KOCHAM — representing the Korean business community in Vietnam — and GNI — an international NGO with years of global community development experience — is expected to contribute to building a sustainable partnership network and fostering a stronger sense of social responsibility within the business community.

Through this MOU, KOCHAM and GNI hope to further spread humanitarian values, strengthen the bond between businesses and communities, and contribute positively to sustainable development in Vietnam.
